The Story Behind the Product

The CANS assessment, designed by Dr. John Lyons, is used in more than 30 states across the country. Polaris-CANS includes a full version of the CANS assessment, along with additional empirical indicators to support clinical treatment service planning for mentally ill children and adolescents.

For staff, Polaris-CANS can reduce the amount of time spent in training and completing paperwork with its online platform for the initial certification and ongoing assessment. CANS can be used to augment and in some cases, replace existing psychosocial assessment and the triage of clients. Flexible pricing makes it affordable for the smallest of organizations.
