ROMS System Components

1) Hardware (i.e. the devices used to administer surveys, to process and store data, and produce reports).

2) Software that provides for questionnaire administration, data processing, data base management, report generation, and various other administrative functions.

3) Questionnaires:

• Intake: Provides individual informant data (consumer, caregiver, clinician) for treatment planning and monitoring progress
• Update: Provides information concurrently with treatment about the consumer’s condition, progress, and satisfaction with treatment (consumer, caregiver, clinician)
• Counselor Intake/Update: Provides for counselor assessment of the consumer’s condition, progress, and prognosis (e.g., for utilization review).

4) Procedures for administering the patient questionnaires.

5) Reports that provide information for clinical decision support (individual consumer and supplemental clinical reports) and for outcomes assessment (program level aggregate data).
