What RES Measures

Polaris-RES combines a strength-based assessment with the measurement of symptoms, the consumer's ability to function in everyday life, high-risk behaviors (e.g., danger to self or others, criminal behavior) and substance abuse.

The foundation for the clinical assessments integrated into RES is the Basis-32. The Basis-32 is used to assess symptomology and community/ social functioning, including depression/anxiety, impulsive/addictive behavior, psychosis, daily living/role functioning and relation to self-others.

Strength-based scales:

  • Resiliency
  • Goal Directiveness
  • Meaning/purpose for living
  • Emotional/Relational skills
  • Supports
