POLARIS HEALTH DIRECTIONS AWARDED GRANT FROM THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF CHILD HEALTH AND HUMAN DEVELOPMENT September 15, 2006
Polaris has been awarded a Phase I SBIR grant from the National Institute of
Child Health and Human Development for an outcome management system for use in
women’s health centers and domestic violence agencies. The system will provide
decision support for the treatment of women experiencing domestic violence and
co-morbid mental health disorders. It will enable treatment team members
(nurses, medical advocates, physicians, social workers, counselors, outreach
workers) to identify women who need immediate mental health or domestic violence
interventions for themselves and their children, and monitor recovery from the
effects of domestic violence.
Dr. Linda Toche-Manley will serve as Principal Investigator for the project.
