Polaris President to Present at "Improving Behavioral Healthcare Using
Outcomes Measurement" Conference

Grant Grissom, PhD will be a featured
presenter at a conference titled, "Improving Behavioral
Healthcare Using Outcomes Measurement". The conference will be
held in Boston on November 9, 2005. Dr. Grissom's presentation
will focus on the development of Polaris-MH, a system designed
for use in outpatient mental health treatment. Dr. Grissom is
one of the world's leaders in the development of outcomes
management systems for behavioral healthcare, substance abuse
treatment and the integration between medical and behavioral
healthcare.
John Lyons, PhD Professor of Psychiatry and Community Medicine
at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine will
be a keynote speaker. Dr Lyons is the developer of the Child
and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) system as well as
the Adult Needs and Strengths (ANSA) which serve as the
clinician assessment modules within Polaris-Youth and
Polaris-Recovery Outcomes Management System. Dr Lyons has
recently published a new book, "Redressing the Emperor,
Improving Our Children's Public Mental Health System" Dr.
Lyons' presentation will focus on the tensions and syndromes
that are part of the current care delivery system and how
outcomes management can be used to address these problems.
