Polaris-Youth Successfully Implemented in Children's Wrap-Around
Services
September, 2005
In a program sponsored by Magellan Public
Solutions and Bucks County Pennsylvania, four provider
organizations have implemented Polaris-Youth to manage
outcomes for behavioral health rehabilitation services.
Implementation was completed in one month.
Adolescents, parents and clinicians complete computerized
assessments and use real-time reports for treatment planning,
resiliency-based individual and family interventions,
supervision and to monitor treatment progress. Children's
assessments (youth ages 3-11) are completed by the parents and
the clinician.
The program is web-based giving providers and families
flexibility in completing the assessments.
Initial program results will be shared at the Pennsylvania
Community provider Association's Annual Conference. The
session titled, "From Outrage to Outcomes: Bucks County's
Managed Care Journey" will be held on October 4, 2005.
